The number of workplace accidents that injure or kill workers has been on the rise again in recent years. Extra attention to working conditions and the risks employees are exposed to therefore remains necessary. For this reason, the Labour Inspectorate has its focus on the presence of a proper RI&E. This is a legal obligation for all companies employing staff, as is the appointment of a prevention officer. A good approach to occupational safety and quality helps reduce absenteeism costs and damages. It also improves customer and employee satisfaction. Within many companies, there is a need for knowledge to properly address these issues.

However complex the subject matter in areas such as health and safety and quality can be. We make it accessible, in a fun way for every professional. Our aim is to raise awareness, make sure the knowledge sticks and above all that you enjoy taking a training course or using a toolbox.

That is why Pieter Valk and Angela van Hemert have combined their knowledge and creativity to make workplace prevention topics accessible to everyone.

Pieter has worked as a safety expert since 1998 and, from 2000, as entrepreneur and director of a national provider of consultancy, training and secondment, Since then he has been heavily involved in quality and health and safety consultancy, training and prevention.

At 2bSkilled, he uses his expertise as an entrepreneur, occupational health and safety consultant and auditor to develop e-learnings, optimise quality and collaborate with partners and clients. At Pieter, cooperation and connecting are of paramount importance. Long-term relationships based on quality, trust and transparency are what he strives for.

Angela van Hemert worked for 11 years at a certification body, where she was responsible for the certification of occupational health and safety, quality and environmental management systems. She gained experience in developing and maintaining competences of auditors, among others. She herself is also a safety expert and qualified as a quality and safety auditor.

She has also made her mark within the equestrian industry. Since 2003, she has transferred her knowledge to riders who want to be successful in training their horses in dressage. For her marketing studies, she did extensive research on setting up an online platform for equestrian entrepreneurs. At 2bSkilled, Angela is the creative brain and is mainly involved in developing e-learning, content and (online) marketing.
